چکیده
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the most serious chronic microvascular abnormalities diabetes mellitus and major cause uremia. Accumulating evidence has confirmed that fibrosis a significant pathological feature contributes to development kidney disease in DN. However, exact mechanism renal DN still unclear, which greatly hinders treatment Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) shown efficacy safety ameliorating inflammation albuminuria diabetic patients. In this review, we outline underlying mechanisms DN, including oxidative stress (OS) generation OS-elicited ASK1-p38/JNK activation. Also, briefly summarize current status CHM treating by improving fibrosis. The inhibiting ASK1 activation alleviate with will promote discovery novel therapeutic targets for provide beneficial method

Targeting Neurogenesis: A Promising Therapeutic Strategy for Post-Stroke Treatment with Chinese Herbal Medicine
Recent progress suggests that neural stem/progenitor cells can potentially develop into new functional neurons in adult brain, offering hope for regeneration therapies for stroke treatment. Targeting adult neurogenesis becomes a novel and promising therapeutic strategy for brain repair and recovery of neurological functions. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history with accumulated...
متن کاملReview of Herbal Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the most serious chronic complications of diabetes; 20-40% of diabetic patients develop into end stage renal disease (ESRD). However, exact pathogenesis of DN is not fully clear and we have great difficulties in curing DN; poor treatment of DN led to high chances of mortality worldwide. A lot of western medicines such as ACEI and ARB have been demonstrated to protec...

BACKGROUND Progressive fibrosis accompanies all chronic renal disease, connective tissue growth factor (CTGF,) and platelet-derived growth factor-B, (PDGF-B,) play important roles in extra-cellular matrix abnormal accumulation, while endothelin-1 (ET-1) nitric oxide (NO,) are related to endothelial dysfunction, which mediates the progression of renal fibrosis. Shenqi Detoxification Granule (SDG...
متن کاملSnoN upregulation ameliorates renal fibrosis in diabetic nephropathy
Progressive reduction of SnoN is associated with gradual elevation of TGF-β1 during diabetic nephropathy progression, suggesting SnoN to be a possible mediator of TGF-β1 signaling, with potential therapeutic benefits against TGF- β1 -induced renal fibrosis. To characterize SnoN for its role in renal fibrosis, we assessed SnoN expression patterns in response to high glucose stress, and evaluated...
متن کاملInhibiting microRNA-192 ameliorates renal fibrosis in diabetic nephropathy.
TGF-β1 upregulates microRNA-192 (miR-192) in cultured glomerular mesangial cells and in glomeruli from diabetic mice. miR-192 not only increases collagen expression by targeting the E-box repressors Zeb1/2 but also modulates other renal miRNAs, suggesting that it may be a therapeutic target for diabetic nephropathy. We evaluated the efficacy of a locked nucleic acid (LNA)-modified inhibitor of ...
